- 2 medium green plantains (about 300g)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Peel the green plantains and cut them into thick slices (about 2 inches long).
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil, adding 1 tsp of sea salt.
- Add the plantain slices along with minced garlic and sliced onion to the boiling water.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the plantains are tender but firm.
- Drain the plantains and let cool slightly before serving.
- Optionally drizzle with olive oil or melted butter and garnish with fresh herbs.
