  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: Makes approximately 10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets (2 sheets)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 8 oz sweetened cream cheese
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw the puff pastry sheets for about 30 minutes, then roll them out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter or freehand, aiming for at least ten hearts.
  4. In a bowl, mix sweetened cream cheese with chopped strawberries until well combined.
  5. Spoon the filling onto half of the heart shapes, avoiding overfilling. Place another heart on top and seal edges with a fork.
  6. Brush each pastry with beaten egg and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
