- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp gelatin powder
- 2 tbsp rosewater or orange blossom water
- ½ cup cornstarch (plus extra for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat; stir until dissolved. Bring to a boil without stirring.
- In a bowl, bloom the gelatin in cold water for about five minutes.
- When the syrup reaches soft ball stage (240°F), reduce heat and whisk in bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Add flavoring.
- Pour into the prepared dish, spread evenly, and dust with cornstarch. Let it set at room temperature for about four hours.
- Once set, dust with more cornstarch before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
