Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp gelatin powder
  • 2 tbsp rosewater or orange blossom water
  • ½ cup cornstarch (plus extra for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat; stir until dissolved. Bring to a boil without stirring.
  3. In a bowl, bloom the gelatin in cold water for about five minutes.
  4. When the syrup reaches soft ball stage (240°F), reduce heat and whisk in bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Add flavoring.
  5. Pour into the prepared dish, spread evenly, and dust with cornstarch. Let it set at room temperature for about four hours.
  6. Once set, dust with more cornstarch before cutting into squares. Enjoy!
