Scale
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- 2 strips turkey bacon
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 medium Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup

- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon until crispy (about 6-8 minutes), flipping halfway through.
- While the bacon cooks, prepare thin slices of apple and shred the cheddar cheese.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering cheese, bacon, and apple on one slice of bread. Drizzle with maple syrup before topping with the second slice.
- Melt butter in the skillet, then grill the sandwich until golden brown (around 3-4 minutes per side). Press gently to melt the cheese.
- Once done, let cool slightly before slicing into triangles. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.

Keywords: Feel free to substitute turkey bacon with regular bacon or pancetta for a richer flavor. Experiment with different cheeses like gouda or pepper jack for added complexity. For meal prep, assemble sandwiches ahead and grill them when ready to serve.
