- 1 cup ground pork (or chicken/tofu)
- 1 cup finely chopped Napa cabbage
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium if desired)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce until well mixed.
- Assemble Your Gyoza: Place about one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten edges with water and fold into half-moon shapes, sealing tightly.
- Heat Up Your Pan: In a nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Cook the Dumplings: Add gyoza to the pan without overcrowding and fry for about 3 minutes or until golden brown.
- Steam: Carefully pour in water and cover immediately. Steam for 5 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve: Transfer gyoza to plates and enjoy with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
