- 1 lb ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or feta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic until translucent. Add ground meat and cook until browned; season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- 4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into squares or circles.
- 5. Place filling on one half of each pastry piece; fold over and crimp edges to seal.
- 6. Brush with beaten egg and bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
