- 1 cup fine semolina flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 3 large eggs
- Zest of 1 lemon
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a rectangular baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together semolina flour, sugar, baking powder, and lemon zest until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and yogurt until smooth, then mix in melted butter.
- Gently combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish; bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, prepare syrup by boiling water and sugar until slightly thickened; stir in lemon juice after removing from heat.
- Pour hot syrup over the baked revani immediately and allow it to absorb for at least an hour before serving.
