- 3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp crushed anise seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (pistachios or almonds) for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix rice flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Boil 4 cups of water in a pot over medium heat.
- Gradually whisk in the rice flour mixture until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in the cinnamon stick and crushed anise seeds; simmer on low for another 5 minutes.
- Pour into serving dishes and cool at room temperature before refrigerating until set (about 2 hours).
- Before serving, top with chopped nuts.
