- 1 cup mochiko (sweet rice flour)
- 3/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, matcha powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Melt the butter and mix it into warm milk before adding to dry ingredients. Knead until smooth (about 5 minutes).
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- For the filling, mix mochiko and water in a separate bowl to form a thick paste; microwave until gooey (about 2 minutes total).
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle about half an inch thick and cut into triangles.
- Place a spoonful of mochi filling at the wide end of each triangle and roll towards the pointy tip.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Let croissants rest for another half hour before baking for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
