- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 soft garlic bread rolls
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of oil and sauté the chopped onion until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula (about 6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; let simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Preheat oven to broil high. Slice garlic bread rolls in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the meat mixture onto each roll half, top with shredded cheese, and broil for about 2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot alongside chips or salad.
