- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, salt, and sugar.
- Bring to a gentle boil over medium-high heat while stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
