Instructions

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in dried cherries and chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
