Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in dried cherries and chocolate chips.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Let cool on wire racks before serving.
