- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (divided)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional for dusting)
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla extract until smooth.
- 2. Whisk Custard: In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and remaining vanilla until well combined.
- 3. Assemble Sandwiches: Spread about 2 tbsp of the cream cheese mixture between two slices of bread. Repeat to create additional sandwiches.
- 4. Heat Skillet: Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- 5. Soak & Cook: Dip each sandwich in the custard mixture on both sides, then cook in the skillet for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- 6. Serve: Plate your stuffed French toast and dust with powdered sugar or top with syrup and fresh berries.
