Instructions

- 2. In the saucepan, combine sugar, heavy cream, butter, salt, and vanilla over medium heat. Stir until smooth.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring gently. Use the candy thermometer to monitor the temperature until it reaches 240°F (115°C).
- 4. Remove from heat and cool slightly before beating with a wooden spoon or mixer for about 10-15 minutes until thickened and shiny.
- 5. Pour onto the greased surface and let cool enough to handle. Pull and stretch until light in color and glossy.
- 6. Shape into small pieces or logs as desired. Allow to set before enjoying.
