Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans and dust with flour.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, alternating with milk if desired.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form. Layer cakes with whipped cream and top with fresh berries.
