- 1/2 head green cabbage
- 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups tomato sauce

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Cook rice according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, sauté chopped onions until translucent; add ground meat and cook until browned, draining excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine cooked rice, meat mixture, tomato sauce, garlic powder, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Layer cabbage leaves in the baking dish, followed by half of the meat mixture; repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil for the last 10 minutes to brown.
