Ingredients
  

Cupcake Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
Frosting
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method
 

Baking Cupcakes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  6. Fill the muffin tin with batter and bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Making Frosting
  1. In a bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in vanilla and milk until the desired consistency is reached.
Decorating Cupcakes
  1. Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost them with the prepared frosting.
  2. Decorate with sprinkles or other toppings as desired.
