  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 vanilla bean vanilla bean scraped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and scraped vanilla bean to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
  8. Let cool before serving.
