Method
Making the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour and water. Mix until no dry flour remains.
- Add the sourdough starter and salt. Mix until fully incorporated.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 4-6 hours at room temperature.
Shaping and Second Rise
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 2-3 hours.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Bake the bread for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
