Ingredients
  

Collard Greens
  • 1 bunch Collard Greens Washed and chopped
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 lb Smoked Meat Such as ham hocks or bacon
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper To taste

Method
 

Cooking Collard Greens
  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the smoked meat and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, add the collard greens, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for about 60 minutes until greens are tender.
