Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 400 grams spaghetti
Sauce
  • 2 cans sardines in oil
  • 400 grams crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 50 grams parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

Cooking Pasta
  1. Boil water in a pot and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
Making Sauce
  1. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes and sardines (with oil) to the pan. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combining
  1. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce. Toss to combine.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated parmesan cheese.
