Ingredients
  

Shrimp Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Sauce Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha optional for extra heat
Sandwich Ingredients
  • 4 pieces hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Shrimp
  1. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and cajun seasoning.
  3. Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the shrimp until golden brown.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
Assemble the Sandwich
  1. Spread the sauce on the hoagie rolls.
  2. Add fried shrimp, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  3. Serve immediately.
