Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Layer
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 quart chocolate ice cream
  • 1 quart strawberry ice cream
Cake Base
  • 1 cup cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
Meringue Topping
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the cake mix, water, and eggs in a bowl until smooth. Pour into a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
Assemble the Dessert
  1. Once the cake has cooled, layer the ice creams on top of the cake in alternating colors. Freeze until firm.
Make the Meringue
  1. Whip the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Fold in vanilla extract.
Bake the Alaska
  1. Spread the meringue over the ice cream layer and bake in the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown.
