Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 pound beef tenderloin trimmed and cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 package puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash

Method
 

Prepare the Beef Filling
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and sauté until they are soft.
  2. Add the beef pieces and cook until browned. Stir in Dijon mustard and remove from heat.
Assemble the Bites
  1. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares. Place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center of each square.
  2. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bites on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
