  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey preferably local
  • 1 tbsp dried lavender culinary grade
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and honey, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and dried lavender.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
