Ingredients
  

Waffles
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Vegan Chicken
  • 1 cup chickpeas mashed
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup flour for coating
  • 2 cups oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Waffles
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, mix plant-based milk and vegetable oil. Combine both mixtures and stir until smooth.
  2. Preheat the waffle maker and pour the batter into it. Cook until golden brown.
Prepare the Vegan Chicken
  1. In a bowl, mix mashed chickpeas, bread crumbs, nutritional yeast, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Form the mixture into patties and coat with flour.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
Serve
  1. Serve the vegan chicken on top of the waffles with your favorite syrup.
