Ingredients
  

Tempura Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Mushrooms
  • 1 pound oyster mushrooms cleaned and trimmed
Honey Glaze
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Method
 

Prepare the Tempura Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cold water, and baking powder until smooth.
Fry the Mushrooms
  1. Dip each oyster mushroom into the tempura batter, then carefully place in the deep fryer.
  2. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on a plate.
Make the Honey Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Heat until warm.
Serve
  1. Drizzle the honey glaze over the fried mushrooms and serve immediately.
