  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 3 tablespoons water ice-cold

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, flour, and salt.
  3. Add the cold cubed butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Gradually add the ice-cold water until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
  6. Cut into squares and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
