Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour for binding

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soak the dried chickpeas in water overnight.
  2. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then add them to a food processor with onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pulse until the mixture is coarse but well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour.
  5. Form the mixture into small balls or patties.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the falafel balls until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
