Ingredients
  

Danish Pastry Dough
  • 1 package Puff Pastry thawed
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 egg Egg beaten for egg wash

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Roll Out the Dough
  1. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
Assemble the Danish
  1. Cut the dough into squares and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  2. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling to create a pocket.
Bake
  1. Place the assembled pastries on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
