Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
  2. Drain the green beans and immediately plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking process.
  3. In a sauté pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add the minced garlic.
  4. Add the blanched green beans and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the sliced almonds and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve warm.
