Ingredients
  

Stuffed Apples
  • 4 whole apples cored
  • 1 cup oats rolled
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1 cup milk for custard
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch for custard
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for custard

Method
 

Prepare the Apples
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Core the apples and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, and walnuts.
  3. Stuff the mixture into the cored apples.
Bake the Apples
  1. Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
Make the Custard Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk and cornstarch over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Serve
  1. Serve the baked apples warm with the vanilla custard sauce drizzled on top.
