  • 2 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, cream cheese, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and mix until well combined.
Mixing Dry Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
