- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the brown butter, sourdough discard, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
