Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust based on apple sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dough
  • 1 package pie crusts Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Assemble the Pies
  1. Roll out the pie crusts and cut them into circles. Place a spoonful of the apple filling on one half of each circle.
  2. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal the edges with a fork.
  3. Brush the tops with egg wash.
Cook the Pies
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the hand pies in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  2. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
