Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup dates pitted
  • 1 cup walnuts or any nuts of choice
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil for melting

Method
 

Prepare the Brownie Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the dates, walnuts, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  2. Press the mixture into a greased 9x9 inch baking pan evenly.
Make the Chocolate Coating
  1. Melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the brownie base and spread evenly.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate the brownies for at least 1 hour to set before cutting into squares.
  2. Serve chilled and enjoy!
