Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese and sour cream until smooth using an electric mixer. Gradually add granulated sugar and blend until fully combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the poppy seeds until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until lightly golden and set in the center. Allow cooling before transferring to a plate.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
